Dear Family Members:

I can’t believe that it has been nearly three months since the 2005 Martinez Family Reunion. We had approximately 90 members in attendance and, it is with my deepest sense of appreciation that I write this letter to all of you.

First, I would like to send out a big “Thank You” to everyone who made this reunion a huge success. There were the website designers, the communication liaisons, the raffle sellers & buyers, game & activity planners, the many busy hands that prepared the food, those who decorated, those who transported family to and from the airport and all who worked behind the scenes. All of you made this event possible and are greatly appreciated. As for me, seeing you all at the reunion was the biggest contribution and reward.

It was amazing to me that even with the challenges of the distance -- our businesses, jobs, and family -- we all took time out of our very busy schedules to come together with open hearts and minds to share in this great event here in Florida. It was awesome to see everyone enjoying themselves and participating in the various activities. We had a blast! The reunion was truly beyond my expectations. Thanks to everyone for making it so memorable!

I also want to take this opportunity to let everyone know that the reunion was recorded on video and many pictures were taken. As a memento, we are in the process of putting together a CD package that will include all the pictures and the video recordings. You will be able to view these on your computer and/or television using a DVD player. The set will be available for sale by December 2005 at a cost of $30.00 including shipping and handling. Funds collected from the sale of these CDs will be used to defer some of the cost of this past reunion. Any remaining funds will be deposited in the Martinez Family Reunion checking account to help finance the next reunion.

If you are interested in purchasing the “Martinez Family Reunion” CD, please fill out the form attached and return to me with a check payable to “Martinez”. We will fill your order as soon as the CD becomes available. In addition, your input is very important, please take the time to fill out the survey attached and let me know what you think.

The Life of Cruz Martinez and Ramona Seda

Cruz Martinez and Ramona Seda were devoted and doting parents to all their children—all 21 of us! Our mother with her creative and artistic flair created a warm and loving haven for her family, and our father, though a strict disciplinarian at home was a charmer who possessed a quirky sense of humor. They made a handsome couple who were never shy about showing their affection and fondness for each other in front of us. They were determined to give their children the same Catholic upbringing their parents gave them with strong moral values and work ethics. They instilled in all of us a sense of duty and responsibility. It is because of this and with all our love and respect that we dedicate this website to Papi and Mami.
